Some national tours are also featured, especially if they show engines that we don't normally see on the coast or have a local interest link, so please send in your
submissions for consideration.

All files received will be considered for publication so please include the engine and train details, location, date of shot and name of photographer.

All files will be welcomed on the understanding that digital improvements, cropping and resizing, to fit in with page design, may be carried out.

IMPORTANT :  Only photographs taken from legal positions i.e. outside Network Rail land or trespass areas will be considered.
All submissions will be accepted on the understanding that these rules have been adhered to.

Another great Ebay find by Roger Carvell opens this follow on page to the STEAM TOURS (1) page.

November 19th 2020.

This eBay find below shows another North Wales favourite. Built by Armstrong Whitworth in 1936 as LMS ‘5282’, early 1963 sees it as BR ‘45282’ in the nice lined black livery.
45282 is seen on ‘6G’ after transfer from Holyhead in March of that year. 45282 was to stay at Llandudno Jct. until closure of the shed on October 1966.
Then 45282 moved east to Chester for a while and lasted almost to the end of steam, her fire dropped for the last time at Edge Hill (8A) in May 1968.
It fell to 45282 to help in clearing up operations after the terrible Harrow & Wealdstone disaster in December 1952.
45282 had to take away the wreckage of 46202 ‘Princess Anne’, tender body, frames and boiler, loaded on bogie bolsters and other flat wagons.
45282 took 46202 to Crewe Works for examination.
After repairs, the boiler was put in the spares pool for the Stanier Pacifics, as and when they required major overhauls.
